WASP Technologies deploy corporate wireless handheld e-mail solution for PwC.
Groupware Access on Wireless Handhelds
PricewaterhouseCoopers have recently installed a wireless handheld email solution from WASP Technologies, allowing members of senior management to wirelessly access email, contact and task information from their groupware server. These PDA users now have anytime, anywhere secure access over mobile networks to the information they need while on the road. The WASP Technologies solution enhances the functionality of PDA’s (Palm OS, Pocket PC and Nokia Communicators) by enabling mobile workers to receive data as it is released from the enterprise, and to transfer updated information back to the enterprise server. Productivity is dramatically increased by providing the latest information at the mobile worker's fingertips. Communications between the handheld user and the enterprise can be established in a secure encrypted channel via Bluetooth over both GSM and GPRS mobile networks
