WASP Technologies named joint winner at the Enterprise Ireland Graduate Enterprise Awards
WASP Technologies, the Cork-based software company, has been named among the winners at the South West Region Graduate Enterprise Awards, which were announced in Cork this week. The company was listed amongst the top two start-ups in the region and was presented with the award by the Minister for Health and Children, Michael Martin, at the City Hall in Cork. In all, fifteen companies in the Graduate Enterprise Programme were presented with certificates.
The adjudication panel was chaired by Dr. Sean Baker, Co-Founder and Chief Corporate Scientist with Iona Technologies. "We were very impressed with what WASP Technologies has achieved in such a short time. By focusing on a specific set of products and doing these well, WASP has impressed the adjudication panel, and more importantly it has built a real business. WASP is working in a very hot area, and customers are going to need products and consultancy to help them get efficiencies from wireless technologies." said Dr. Baker.
