WASP Technologies launch WASP ATR
Designed specifically for the Asset Tracking of IT Equipment
WASP Technologies, a software solutions company that specialises in developing and integrating wireless enterprise applications on handheld computers, today announced the addition of a new product to its WASP range.
Designed to run on Symbol Barcode Scanner handheld computers running the Palm OS™ operating system, WASP ATR or Asset Track Register, addresses the challenge of quickly and accurately tracking valuable assets such as IT hardware. It produces a PC based register of assets and caters for the many variable situations from receipt to upgrade and disposal. It increases efficiency in your organisation by giving fast and accurate information on asset location and distribution. Information is available to all relevant internal departments and is instantly producible at year-ends and audits.
Using the WASP ATR handheld scanner, barcodes and related information is captured for the particular asset and transferred through a cradle (or wirelessly) to the supplied back office system. A detailed Windows based application allows for complete control of the asset. Important information such as Purchase Order records, asset location, returns and disposal are instantly recorded. Authorised names of staff handling the asset are also catered for and captured.
